The ADBA Biomethane and Gas Vehicle Conference will debate the role of biofuels in the government’s Clean Air Strategy.

The event, hosted by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA), is taking place at the Queens Hotel in Leeds on 28 September.

Speakers include Gary Mason from Nottingham City Transport, who will talk about his experience of setting up an environmentally friendly, sustainable biogas-powered public transport at Nottingham City Transport, as well as how they have recently invested £17m in the world's largest double-deck bio-gas fleet.

Tom Lamy from BOC will talk about how the company is developing sources of biomethane to supply as a renewable transport fuel for the HGV market.

Phil Lowndes, director and founder of the Gas Bus Alliance, which brought gas buses to the UK, will also be present on the day.
