Overall passenger satisfaction at 86 per cent.
A Passenger Focus survey has shown that overall passenger satisfaction with South West Trains services is 86 per cent.
This is above the national average of 83 per cent and the London & South East average of 82 per cent.
The survey covers Autumn 2009 and also shows that 89 per cent of passengers are satisfied with South West Trains punctuality and reliability, higher that the national average of 83 per cent and the London & South East operators average of 82 per cent.
Ian Johnston, Customer Service Director for South West Trains, said: "As the UK’s most complex, and largest passenger rail operator, it is an achievement to be rated higher than the average for overall satisfaction, and in areas such as punctuality and reliability."
"However, there are some areas we need to improve on to ensure that satisfaction amongst our passengers continues to grow."
