LTSG grant increased by more than four per cent this year.
An £11 million Local Transport Services Grant (LTSG) will go towards improving bus and community transport services across Wales.
This year’s LTSG has been increased by over four per cent to help local authorities support a range of subsidised transport services, maintain the networks already in place, and fund minor capital works directly linked to these socially necessary services.
All local authorities will benefit from the funding, of which at least 10 per cent of each area’s allocation must be used for community transport services.
Deputy First Minister and Minister for Economy and Transport Ieuan Wyn Jones said: "This grant continues to play an important role in supporting crucial services that are not provided by bus operators on a commercial basis."
"It is used to support a wide range of initiatives and measures to provide transport links to people in deprived areas."
